How to protect yourself and your family against herpes infections

One of the most dangerous symptoms of herpes is an itch that causes itching and burning.

If that’s the case, it’s possible that you might be getting herpes from an infected partner.

In some cases, you might not even know you have it, so it can be hard to know what to do about it.

One solution: get tested for the virus.

The American Academy of Pediatrics says it is important to get tested regularly, because the virus can be passed on to others, including people who haven’t had unprotected sex.

You can get tested at the health care provider you have been seeing, or if you live with a partner.

If you live in a state that doesn’t require testing, you can get the test online or at your doctor’s office.
